“陕西古树之王”意指在陕西省境内由历史文化名人亲手所植，且因年代久远、树形高大、按树种被称为“树王”的古树。这些古树虽经千年风雨，如今仍枝繁叶茂、生机盎然；它们见证了陕西悠久的历史文化，具有历史沧桑之美。“古树之王”一章收录了具有代表性的古树名木共39棵，包括黄陵县黄帝陵的“黄帝手植柏”、“汉武帝挂甲柏”、周至县楼观台的“老子手植银杏”、白水县仓颉庙的“仓颉手植柏”、“天下第一槐”、合阳县的“千年文冠果王”和周至县的“中华玉兰王”等。
This chapter mainly includees ancient tree featuring a long history and huge stature. These trees have all experienced thousands of years’ change, while still keeping a vigorous life at present. They have witnessed the great changes of Shaanxi Province. This part collects alltogether 39 representative trees, such as Cypress Planted by Yellow Emperor, Gingko Planted by Laozi, Cypress planted by Cang Jie, Grand Scholar Tree, Heyang Shiny-leaved Yellowwhorn, and the King Magnolian of Zhouzhi County.
